Fair-Unfair

If you are living a pre-ordained existence, then does GOD have a role to play?
You are more than willing to shell out bushels of moolah in the temple, but walk right past a blind man. What kind of justice is that?

True. The problem, I think, is that we're religious alright but we haven't grasped even the essence of what it actually means.

i guess it's just our grammar of how we 'pay' for the socially imposed guilt of living a pre-ordained existence

Religion should be a way of life...it's not abt praying in temples...it's abt Service to man.

There is a percentage of destiny in our lives and a percentage of freewill.
So, its NOT 100% pre-ordained.
I think , of all the explanations we have , the one offered by Hinduism is the best.
Read up on karma.

hi, aquamarine,

what i believe in is not destiny but that God has a plan for each creation. i believe that if one is a believer of God then he should realize that good and bad things may happen in accordance to his plan.

i hope i didnt get to contest anybody's belief. i am speaking according to mine.

Can't comment on the pre-ordained-ness. I really wonder how the world works - forking fate or pre-determined fate.

It is however an unfortunate thing that people do a lot of things in the name of religion, but wouldn't help someone cross the road.

Absolutely shocking behaviour of humans, but many try helping others in many ways possible.
