Couplets from Mumbai

I love listening to couplets and if possible, try and understand their deeper meaning. A friend from Mumbai sent me these couplets, sometime ago.

So here goes:

"Ek kadam utha galat rahein shaunk mein,

Tamam umr hamey manzil dhoondthee reh gayee"

"Dekh key teree surat,

Mit ja tee hain ek hee pal mein

Jiven ki har thakan"

"Aap ki aankhon mein kuch

Maheken huay sey raaz hain

Aap sei bhi khoobsurat

Aap kay andaaz hain"
