A course in Change

Day 1
It is yet another day in the week. But an important one in AquaM's blessed life. Flowers, gifts and lots of best wishes eased me into my new, but unsure surroundings. It will only be a matter of time until I find my way around, but until then, I probably will carry that sinking feeling with me wherever I go. I'm reminded of a scene from You've Got Mail, where Meg Ryan takes the enormous decision of closing her book shop, and she joins two of her colleagues for lunch. The old lady (one of the companions) makes a profund statement about the act of doing something is daring to be different and it is a brave thing to do. I shall use this crutch until I need them no more.
Day 2
So far, so slow and lot of nail-biting time. Is it possible to design programmes that makes it easy for an individual to integrate with the main stream crowd? That way, irrespective of the personality type, one does not have to worry about settling into an alien environment. Life is fine and the process of change hardly warrants a huge consideration. You can have your coffee, smile, get on with your work and head home. Is that asking for a lot?

Comments

It seems to me it is asking for a lot nowadays. But don't you worry, you will settle in soon enough. And remember your position much much much better than mine. And also, thanks for the pep talk last night. Will try and be positive! Nope, that won't do. I WILL be positive.

i dont know how for it i would be if it did exist actually. its something like the first dance class: you go there all tense about making mistakes and generally making a fool of yourself, but then you start to laugh at yourself, and all is fine.
i honestly and firmly have started to believe in 'Laugh, and the world laughs with you.' :)

And about the s/w, would you allow a new person who has joined your team to mingle with your close circle in a day or two? If your answer is YES, may be we could try developing a generic software to meet your requirement. But if your answer is NO, then the requirement is ambiguous and it cannot be developed in to a system :) he he!

Depends on the definition of the 'main stream crowd' as well as the definition of 'an individual'. Majority, i would say yes, everyone? i wonder.
