Monsters Vs Aliens (2009)

Animated movies are such fun. Even better when it is a monstrous 3D event (grin). I had cut a deal with my mom that she would go with me to the theatres whenever there is an animated movie. It is such a much needed break from the monotony of the kitchen chores, even if it means stepping out on a warm Sunday afternoon.

Every woman dreams of the perfect wedding, so did Susan. However, her dreams are dashed to the ground when she suddenly gets hit by a meteorite on her wedding day, and the "Quantonium", a powerful element in the meteorite turns her into a giant, scaring everyone around her. To compound the problem, she is also taken away and imprisoned in a secret location by the US Govt's misson group to battle alien invasion. She is asked to join hands with a motely group of monsters and defend the country from the Aliens.

The movie is an excellent stress buster. You constantly discover yourself as life unfolds its surprises along the way. Susan who becomes a giant for a brief period of time, feels her self-confidence soar, when she is able to save the lives of millions of people. As you begin to understand your strengths, it fills you with a renewed sense of your self, an appreciation of yourself for who you are. When you realise this, you gain a positive perspective on life.

As B.O.B says, "I may not have brains, but I have idea !"
